Today Nokia launched their latest series of mobile handsets, the enterprise business oriented Eseries models. Comprised of the E60, E61, and E70, the new Eseries devices all support WiFi data connections as well as SIP compliant VOIP clients for linking into WiFi based office PBX phone systems.

Palm updated its low-end and upper-mid range of its PDA line with the Z22 and the TX respectively. The TX features a 312 Mhz CPU, WiFi, Bluetooth, HiRes+ 65k TFT, 100 MBs RAM, SD slot, but no voice recorder. The Z22 sports a 200 Mhz CPU, 24 MBs RAM, 160x160 CSTN 4096 color LCD and no SD slot, headphone jack or IrDA. Reviews here, here, here and here.

The SL-C3100 is the latest entry in Sharp's line of Zaurus PDAs. Sharp sold Zaurus PDAs in the US for a while, but decided to pull out of the US market 2 or 3 years ago. Interestingly, though, there are still many importers bringing Zauruses to the US and Europe, and there is still an active community of Zaurus users and developers.

As smartphone prices decline, they have become more popular every day. Symbian, PalmOS, Windows Mobile and Linux seem to be the big names in this high-end market of phones, all showcasing PDA-like features, native toolkits and fast processors. Today OSNews is looking at one of the most popular Linux smartphones (especially in Asia), the Motorola E680i, which was released around May 2005.

The W800i is Sony Ericsson's first in a series of Walkman branded handsets. While the Walkman brand is still ingrained in my mind as a portable tape player, Sony has kept upgrading the devices which are now MP3 players. Music phones are all the rage this year, so MobileTracker is excited to get a look at the W800i.

It looks like Sony Ericsson is going to try and keep up in the SmartPhone arms race by releasing a new device dubbed the P990 that is the replacement for the older P910. The P990 was announced today in London and will have Bluetooth, Infrared, Wi-Fi, 3G and a built-in FM radio. The P990 will run the latest Symbian OS, version 9.1. Scheduled release is for Q1 2006.
