"Convergence" seems to be the key element of all new cellphones, even the ones that are not in the "smartphone" category: they all playback mp3 for example. Its obvious that convergence will move even further: music and video players will eventually give in much of their marketshare in favor of a one-device-does-it-all type of informational/entertainment/communication product.

BargainPDA reviews the HP rx1950 Pocket PC PDA. This proves to be a great PDA, apart from the lack of Bluetooth and the very bad location of its IrDA port.

The most popular PDA web browser, AvantGo, today announced the beta release of new RSS features in its mobile Internet service. If your phone or PDA doesn't have an AvantGo client port, you can always use the web-based version through any other browser.

Three new phones from Nokia (1, 2, 3) are taking the baptism of being "fashionable" before anything else. They look good, although the "pen" version is somewhat controversial if it is usable or not.

Sony Ericsson today announced the W900i, a 3G Walkman branded phone. With built-in UMTS, the W900i is the first Walkman branded phone to include 3G data and as such is also the first to support over-the-air music downloads. The phone has also two cameras.

Thanks to the Apple hype machine, Motorola's ROKR E1 was one of the most anticipated mobile phones ever. After 18 months of speculation (ever since it was announced that iTunes would be coming to some Motorola phones) Motorola and Apple debuted the ROKR E1 on the same day as the iPod nano. Besides photos, there is an included video review that shows the ROKR E1 in action.
