iRIVER G10 attacks the PSP

The parent company of iRIVER, Reigncom, has announced the G10 for CES 2006. It's a console similar to the PSP or Nintendo DS but it runs on Windows Mobile 5 and has between 4 and 8GB of storage space. You'll be able to play 3D games on the WVGA (800x480) screen.

Motorola ROKR E2 (Linux-based) announced

Motorola has unveiled the ROKR E2, its second music phone. Unlike the ROKR E1, the E2 does not have iTunes.The E2 is compatible with iRadio which was also launched today. It is using the new (non-touchscreen) UI Motorola created a few months ago which is using their own version of the Linux OS. More pics here. MontaVista's Mobilinux 4.0 gains SD/SDIO/MMC support

EmbWise Technologies says it has ported its SD/MMC/SDIO support software to MontaVista's Mobiliux 4.0 software platform. The company's SDIOWorx stack currently supports Intel's PXA270 applications processor, and includes an SDIO bus driver and drivers for the USB host controller, SD/MMC memory cards, SDIO-Bluetooth (Type A), and SDIO-WiFi, according to the company.
