REVIEW: Dell PDA x50/51/v Vaja Case
Vaja were very kind to send us another great quality product for a review, their DE51 case, which fits all versions of the Dell x50/51 PDAs. Read on for more information and lots of pictures.
The case is made with the same high quality leather skin Vaja has used us with on their other products. Just by looking alone it shows that this is a durable material and by... smelling it you can have the confirmation you need.

Sliding our x50v inside the case was an easy matter, although users who use the higher capacity battery will make the device to not fit in the case. There are accurate cuts all over the ports and buttons for easy access and the screen is protected fully when the case is closed. You will find cuts for all the ports and buttons (even for the reset hole) except the power button. We found it very difficult to turn on and off the device by pressing the covered power button. We had to press about 4 times more strongly to get the device turn on or off.

On the inside part of the case you will find a cutout for money, two business cards and 2 SD cards. This is extremely handy as for some people this will be enough to not use a wallet anymore.

We loved the snap-on magnetic closure. The case can securely close easily, without applying any pressure at all, this is a great innovation.

The only thing that is extremely annoying though is that it's almost impossible to use the joystick at the bottom easily. The cutout all across the bottom part of the PDA is very close to the actual joystick so when you try to press the "down" key your finger finds a stoppage on the actual case instead of finding the button itself. This is a major usability problem. Another small problem for some might be the fact that with the case fitted you can't insert the PDA on its cradle.

Other than these two issues mentioned above this is a great case that can protect your valuable PDA from drops and scratches, while it can double as a small wallet.
